01

Getting Started

Installation

Download Poko Motion for macOS or Windows. The app is self-contained — Node, Chromium, FFmpeg, and the renderer are bundled. On Windows, the installer adds Poko Motion to the Start menu and can create a desktop shortcut.

First Launch

Sign in with your Poko account. The app will sync your plan and AI credits automatically. You're ready to create your first video.

Uninstalling

On Windows, uninstall from Settings → Apps → Installed apps → Poko Motion. On macOS, move Poko Motion from Applications to Trash.

System Requirements

macOS 11+ or Windows 10+. Works on Apple Silicon, Intel Macs, and Windows x64. Recommended: 8GB RAM and 2GB free disk space per project.

02

Creating Videos

From a Project Repo

Choose Repo to video, select your project folder, then pick a style: Product walkthrough or Motion ad. The agent scans code, README, screenshots, and brand assets, then builds a narrated video in a local workspace.

From a PDF

Choose PDF to video and select a pitch deck, whitepaper, or product doc. Poko keeps the source file local, reads the structure, and turns key pages into animated scenes.

From PowerPoint

Choose PPT to video and select a .pptx file. Poko extracts slide text and images, groups slides into stronger scenes, then adds narration, transitions, and motion.

From a URL

Choose URL to video, paste a website or blog URL, and Poko captures the page before building a short motion video from the real site content.

03

Editing with AI

Chat-Based Editing

Use the chat panel to refine your video with natural language. Examples: "make it faster", "zoom into the pricing card", "use a darker background", or "make this a 45s motion ad". The agent edits the video files and refreshes the preview.

Live Preview

The Studio preview runs inside the app. When the agent saves changes, the preview reloads automatically so you can keep iterating in chat.

Voice Narration

Voice narration is ON by default. To disable: "no voice" or "silent" in chat. To customize: "use a female voice" or "slower narration". All plans include AI text-to-speech minutes (check your plan limits).

04

Rendering & Export

Rendering Locally

Click Export when ready. Videos render on your machine using your hardware. There is no cloud queue and no source upload.

Render Settings

Choose resolution, frame rate, quality, format, and render workers before exporting. MP4 is the default for sharing.

Where Files Are Stored

Your source folder stays read-only. Poko creates a separate local workspace for generated scenes, assets, logs, and renders. The cloud stores project metadata, billing, and AI usage records.

05

AI Credits & BYOK

How AI Credits Work

Plans include AI credit for agent/model usage. Credits are billed at provider cost. Starter uses Poko credits and has a fixed project limit; Pro and Agency unlock unlimited projects and BYOK.

BYOK (Bring Your Own Key)

Available only on Pro and Agency plans for both AI model keys and voice provider keys. Claude is recommended for best results; other model providers are beta and can use more tokens.

AI Narration Minutes

All plans include monthly AI text-to-speech minutes (fair use). Starter: 50 min/month, Pro: 200 min/month, Agency: 400 min/month. Unused minutes don't roll over.

06

Troubleshooting

Rendering Fails

Check: (1) Enough disk space? (2) Project files moved or deleted? (3) Try re-opening the project. If it persists, contact support with the project log from Help → Export Logs.

AI Credits Depleted

Top up from the billing page, or upgrade to Pro/Agency to enable BYOK. If you just topped up, click the refresh icon in the sidebar to sync your balance.

Video Preview Not Loading

Restart the app. If the issue continues, check Help → Export Logs and contact support.
