Getting Started
Installation
Download Poko Motion for macOS or Windows. The app is fully self-contained — everything you need is included. Just download, install, and launch. No setup required.
First Launch
Sign in with your Poko account. The app will sync your plan and AI credits automatically. You're ready to create your first video.
System Requirements
macOS 11+ or Windows 10+. Works on both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs. Recommended: 8GB RAM and 2GB free disk space per project.

Creating Videos
From a Project Repo
Click "New Project" → "From Repository". Select your project folder. The AI agent will scan your code, screenshots, README, and brand assets to understand your product. It then generates a script and creates scenes automatically.
From a PDF
Click "New Project" → "From PDF". Select your PDF file (pitch deck, whitepaper, product doc). The AI extracts content, images, and structure, then builds a video that follows your document's flow.
From PowerPoint
Click "New Project" → "From PowerPoint". Select your .pptx file. The AI preserves your slide layouts while adding motion, transitions, and animations. Perfect for turning static presentations into engaging videos.

Editing with AI
Chat-Based Editing
Use the chat panel to refine your video with natural language. Examples: "make it faster", "add more zoom on the pricing section", "change background music", "add a logo intro". The AI updates the video in real-time.
Live Preview
Every edit updates the preview instantly. Scrub the timeline to review changes. The preview shows exactly what will render.
Voice Narration
Voice narration is ON by default. To disable: "no voice" or "silent" in chat. To customize: "use a female voice" or "slower narration". All plans include AI text-to-speech minutes (check your plan limits).

Rendering & Export
Rendering Locally
Click "Render" when ready. Videos render on your machine using your hardware. No cloud queue, no uploading. The MP4 file saves to your Downloads folder automatically.
Render Settings
Choose resolution (720p, 1080p, 4K), frame rate (24, 30, 60 fps), and codec settings before rendering. Pro and Agency plans can access priority rendering for faster exports.
Where Files Are Stored
All project files, source materials, and rendered videos stay on your disk. Nothing is uploaded to Poko servers except the AI prompts (or none if you use BYOK).

AI Credits & BYOK
How AI Credits Work
Each plan includes AI credits for LLM usage (Claude). Credits are billed at actual provider rates. When you run low, top up anytime from the billing page. Monitor your balance in the app sidebar.
BYOK (Bring Your Own Key)
Available on Pro and Agency plans. Go to Settings → LLM → Add your Anthropic API key. When BYOK is enabled, all AI calls go directly to Anthropic using your credits. Poko's proxy is bypassed entirely.
AI Narration Minutes
All plans include monthly AI text-to-speech minutes (fair use). Starter: 50 min/month, Pro: 200 min/month, Agency: 400 min/month. Unused minutes don't roll over.

Troubleshooting
Rendering Fails
Check: (1) Enough disk space? (2) Project files moved or deleted? (3) Try re-opening the project. If it persists, contact support with the project log from Help → Export Logs.
AI Credits Depleted
Top up from the billing page or enable BYOK (Pro/Agency). If you just topped up, click the refresh icon in the sidebar to sync your balance.
Video Preview Not Loading
Restart the app. If the issue continues, check Help → Export Logs and contact support.
