Poko Motion vs. Arcade: Interactive Product Tours vs. AI Video

Every product demo has to answer one question for a stranger: can I trust this enough to try it? Arcade and Poko Motion both exist to answer that faster than a live call, but they solve it in almost opposite ways. Arcade builds an interactive tour a viewer clicks through themselves. Poko Motion generates a finished video a viewer just watches. Picking the wrong one for the job costs you the click, the watch, or both.

Arcade is built for exploration. Poko Motion is built for distribution.

Arcade starts from a screen recording of your product and turns it into a click-through demo: hotspots, callouts, branching paths, and chapters that a visitor navigates at their own pace, with AI-generated voiceover optional on top. Poko Motion starts from your repo, a landing page URL, a PDF or deck, or a raw screen recording, and renders it into a finished video, no clicking required. That single difference decides where each one actually works.

What Arcade Does: Interactive, Click-Through Product Tours

Arcade turns a screen recording into a guided demo a prospect explores themselves, not a video they passively watch.

How an Arcade demo works

You record your product once, then Arcade layers on hotspots, tooltips, and branching paths so a viewer can click through different flows at their own pace. On the Growth and Enterprise tiers, HTML capture replicates the real product UI at higher fidelity than a screen recording alone. CTA buttons can link straight to "Book a Meeting" or "Start a Free Trial," so a prospect converts without ever leaving the demo window.

Where Arcade shines

This format is built for embedding: on a landing page, inside a nurture email, or in a sales deck, where a prospect is already engaged enough to click around. Arcade's own published case studies point to real upside from this approach, citing Zapier and Wrike reporting meaningfully higher meeting and conversion rates after switching to interactive tours.

What Poko Motion Does: AI-Generated Video From Your Actual Product

Poko Motion skips the click-through format entirely and renders a finished MP4 instead.

Sources Poko can build from

Instead of requiring a fresh screen recording, Poko can build from a GitHub repo, a landing page URL, a PDF or slide deck, or a screen recording you already have. Rendering happens locally rather than through a shared cloud queue, and Poko can run multiple builds side by side, so a repo, a deck, and a landing page can each become their own finished video in the same sitting.

Two build styles, not one template

Poko separates a 40-45 second motion ad, built for launches and social, from a 60 second product walkthrough, built for onboarding and explainers, so the pacing matches the job instead of forcing one video to do both.

The Real Difference: Interaction vs. Distribution

An interactive tour needs a viewer willing to click, and it needs an embed that supports iframes. That rules out a lot of places a launch actually happens: a Product Hunt gallery, a tweet, a LinkedIn feed post, or an email client that strips scripts - the exact places a launch video and a demo video have to do very different jobs.

A rendered video plays natively in every one of those. That's not a quality gap between the two tools, it's a distribution gap, and it's the real reason to pick one over the other rather than assuming whichever tool is "better" wins.

What Neither Tool Replaces

Neither format replaces a live demo call for a late-stage buyer with specific questions about their own setup. An interactive tour or a rendered video earns the meeting; it doesn't have to close the deal by itself. Treating either one as a substitute for a real conversation once a prospect is qualified is where teams overreach.

When to Use Which (or Both)

• If a prospect is already on your pricing or landing page and willing to explore, an interactive tour like Arcade lets them self-serve the exact flow they care about.

• If your video needs to autoplay in a feed, a gallery, or an inbox where nobody's going to click into an iframe, you need a rendered video instead.

Plenty of teams end up running both: an Arcade tour for the site, a Poko Motion video for everywhere else a tour simply can't play. Arcade isn't the only tool Poko Motion gets compared against, either - see how Poko Motion stacks up against Descript for product teams if editing workflow matters as much as format to you.

The Takeaway

Don't compare Arcade and Poko Motion like they're competing for the same slot on your landing page. Ask where the video actually needs to live first. If it needs to be clicked through, build a tour. If it needs to autoplay somewhere you don't control the embed, render a video.
