URL to video

Paste your website. Get a product video you can edit.

Poko captures the message, visuals, product sections, and call to action from a public page. Then it turns them into clear scenes you can review and change.

Why this helps

Your website already has the hook, proof, visuals, and next step.

You already spent time making the page clear. Poko uses that work instead of asking you to write another long brief. It finds the opening promise, product details, proof, images, and call to action.

You see what Poko found before it builds the video. This helps you catch a weak source page early and keeps the first cut close to the message you want people to remember.

The aha moment

A public page becomes scenes you can change.

Your page has already made many hard choices. It has a message, an order, a visual language, and a next step. Poko uses those decisions as a brief, then changes the format from a page people scroll into a story people watch.

The result is not a recording of someone scrolling down the site. It is a generated storyboard with separate scenes for the hook, problem, product, proof, and call to action. Each scene remains editable, so the URL gives you a strong start without deciding the final cut.

Detailed workflow

From URL to final video, one clear step at a time.

You stay involved at the points that need judgment. Poko handles the setup work, while you decide what the finished video should say and feel like.

  1. 01

    Paste a public URL

Choose one page with a clear purpose. Poko checks that it can open the page and starts a capture.

  2. 02

    Review what was found

See the visible copy, structure, images, colors, and product sections that can guide the project.

  3. 03

    Generate the storyboard

Poko turns the page message into a sequence of editable scenes instead of one long screen recording.

  4. 04

    Edit, preview, and render

Ask for changes, review the moving preview, and render the final video locally when it feels right.

What the capture reads

The visible content that gives your video direction.

Poko can use the page’s headings, supporting copy, section order, calls to action, logos, colors, images, and visible interface examples. These clues help it understand what matters and keep the draft connected to the source brand.

It works with what a normal visitor can see. Hidden analytics, private account data, logged-in screens, and unpublished material are not part of a public URL capture. If important context is missing from the page, add it during editing or choose a better source.

Editing

Talk through changes, then inspect the scenes.

The first storyboard is a draft. Ask Poko to shorten the opening, change the emphasis, reorder scenes, simplify a line, or make the ending more direct. Plain-English chat is useful when you know the outcome you want but do not want to rebuild the project by hand.

Then use Studio to review the actual result. Check the words, pacing, scene order, and visual focus. This loop keeps you in control: describe a change, preview it, and continue until the video matches the job it needs to do.

URLs that work

Choose a focused public page with a clear story.

Good inputs include a product landing page, launch page, feature page, public documentation guide, portfolio, event page, or article. For example, a founder can turn a launch page into a social announcement, while a product marketer can turn one feature page into a short sales video.

Agencies can start from an approved client page. Documentation teams can make a visual introduction to a public guide. Creators can turn a useful article into a shorter video outline. In every case, use content and visual assets you have permission to reuse.

One quick guide

Product and feature pages

Best when one offer or capability is explained clearly.

Launch and event pages

Useful for announcements with a date, promise, and next step.

Public docs and articles

Useful when the goal is to explain or summarize an idea.

Portfolios and case studies

Useful for turning finished work into a shareable story.

When to use it

Use the URL when the page is already the brief.

URL-to-video is the right input when a public page already contains the approved message and look. It reduces copying, screenshot gathering, and blank-timeline setup. It is especially practical for launch, feature, sales, and social videos tied to one page.

It is not the right input for a private dashboard, an unfinished site, a page with several unrelated products, or a story that depends on facts not shown online. For a deck, document, research paper, or code repository, start with Poko’s PPT-to-video, PDF-to-video, research-paper-to-video, or repo-to-video workflow instead.

Privacy and rendering

The source is public. Your working project stays local.

Poko captures the public page you choose as source material. Your editable project stays on your computer, and the final video renders there too. You can inspect and revise the project before creating the final file.

Public does not mean free to reuse. Make sure you have the rights to the page copy, logos, images, and product screens included in your video. Do not use URL capture to work around a login or to copy someone else’s brand.

Questions

URL-to-video FAQ

What is URL to video?+

URL to video uses a public web page as source material for a video. In Poko Motion, you paste the URL, capture the visible page, and turn its useful message and visual direction into editable scenes.

Which URLs work best?+

Focused public pages work best: product landing pages, feature pages, launch pages, public documentation, portfolios, event pages, and articles. The page must open without a login.

Can Poko capture a private dashboard?+

No. URL capture is for public pages that Poko can open normally. For private product screens, use approved screenshots or another input that you have permission to share.

What does Poko read from a page?+

Poko can use visible headings, body copy, page order, colors, logos, images, and interface sections as context. It does not make hidden or private page content available.

Can I change the result after it is generated?+

Yes. The generated storyboard is a starting draft. You can ask for changes in plain English, review the preview, and keep refining the scenes in Studio.

Where does the final video render?+

Your Poko project stays on your machine, and the final video renders locally. The public page is captured as the input to that local project.

Do I need permission to use the page?+

Yes. Only use a page, brand, copy, and images that you own or have permission to use. A page being public does not remove its copyright or usage terms.

How much does Poko Motion cost?+

Subscriptions start at $25 per month. One-time Starter access begins at $49. Visit the pricing section for current plan details.
