How to Make an Explainer Video from a Landing Page URL

A landing page has one job: convert visitors. But in 2026, static pages are losing ground to video. Visitors who watch a short explainer video are significantly more likely to understand a product, trust the brand, and take action.

The problem is that producing that video has historically meant hiring an agency, recording voiceovers, or spending hours in a timeline editor.

AI has changed that. Tools like Poko Motion can take a landing page URL and turn it into a polished explainer video in minutes, with no recording setup, no script writing, and no manual editing.

Here is exactly how the process works.

If your best content lives somewhere other than a landing page, the same engine handles that too — see how to turn a blog post into a motion video or convert a PDF into motion slides.

Why Landing Pages Need Explainer Videos

Most landing pages communicate through text and static images. That works for visitors who arrive with intent and patience. But a large share of traffic, particularly from social media and paid ads, skims and bounces within seconds.

Explainer videos solve this in three concrete ways:

• Faster comprehension. A 60-second video communicates what a 500-word page often cannot. Visitors grasp the product and its value proposition without scrolling.
• Higher conversion. Pages with video see conversion rate lifts of 20 to 80 percent, depending on the product category and placement.
• Better SEO signals. Video increases average time on page, which reduces bounce rate and improves organic search performance over time.

What AI Needs to Generate a Video from a URL

When an AI video tool reads a landing page URL, it is doing several things simultaneously.

It:

• Parses the page structure to identify the headline, subheadings, key features, and call to action.
• Extracts brand signals, colors, fonts, and visual style from the design.
• Infers the product's core value proposition and target audience from the copy.

All of that context feeds into the video generation process:

• Scene structure
• Narration script
• Visual pacing
• Motion style

The output is a video that reflects the landing page—not a generic template.

How to Create an Explainer Video from a Landing Page URL Using Poko Motion

Poko Motion is an AI video generator built for exactly this workflow.

It runs locally on Mac, which means the page content and any processed assets stay on the machine, with:

• No cloud upload
• No waiting in a render queue

Step 1: Paste the Landing Page URL

Open Poko Motion and start a new project.

Paste the landing page URL into the input field.

The AI agent captures the page, reads the structure, and pulls the product narrative and visual direction directly from the content.

Step 2: Review the Generated Script and Scenes

Within seconds, Poko generates a complete video script, broken into scenes with narration and motion cues.

Each scene maps to a section of the landing page:

• The problem statement
• The product introduction
• Key features
• A closing call to action

Review it like a draft document and flag anything that needs adjusting.

Step 3: Refine with the Chat Editor

Type natural language instructions to make changes.

For example:

• "Shorten the intro to 10 seconds."
• "Make the tone more casual."
• "Add a zoom on the pricing section."

The AI agent applies edits in real time and updates the preview.

There is:

• No timeline scrubbing
• No keyframe editing

Step 4: Render Locally and Export

When the video is ready, click Render.Poko processes everything locally using Apple Silicon.

A 60-second explainer video renders in under 60 seconds.

The finished MP4 exports directly to the Downloads folder, ready to:

• Embed on the landing page
• Include in an email campaign

Where to Use the Explainer Video After Export

A landing page explainer video is one of the most reusable assets in a content strategy.

Above the Fold on the Landing Page

Replace or complement the hero section with a 45 to 90-second autoplay video.

Visitors understand the product without reading a word.

LinkedIn and X

Native video posts consistently outperform text and image posts for reach.

The same explainer video works as both:

• Organic content
• Paid creative

Cold Outreach

A short product video embedded in a cold email converts significantly better than a paragraph of text explaining what the product does.

Product Hunt and Launch Platforms

A 60-second explainer video is standard for Product Hunt listings and can materially improve both upvote rates and click-through rates.

The Shift from Static to Video-First Pages

The landing page format has remained largely unchanged for fifteen years:

• Headline
• Subheadline
• Feature list
• Testimonials
• Call to action

What has changed is the audience's patience for reading it.

Visitors arriving from:

• Short-form video platforms
• Social feeds
• Mobile search

expect to understand a product in under 90 seconds.

A well-made explainer video meets that expectation in a way static copy simply cannot.

The bottleneck used to be production.

Turning a landing page into a video required:

• Writing a script
• Recording voiceovers
• Using animation tools
• Investing significant production time

AI removes that bottleneck.

Paste a URL, review the output, render locally, and the page gains its most persuasive asset in under ten minutes.

The workflow is simple:

1. Paste a landing page URL into a new project.
2. Review the AI-generated script.
3. Refine it with the chat editor.
4. Render the finished video.

The first video takes under ten minutes from URL to MP4.

For teams running multiple campaigns or product lines, the same workflow scales naturally-each landing page becomes its own explainer video without additional headcount, studio time, or cloud rendering costs.
